Makeup Experts: FIXING your makeup mishaps
Jul 20, 2010 Makeup by Wink Makeup Academy

You’re already late and now you've just had a few makeup mishaps.  When running behind on time here's a few of our favorite tricks for quick fixes without having to remove your makeup and start all over again.

Hand Me the Chisel! Too Much Foundation or Concealer:   Mist the skin with a little H2O and dab the face with a tissue to remove the excess foundation.  You can also use a professional moisture spray or a facial moisturizer dabbed delicately over your foundation, or a little eye cream under the eye which will soften the look and make under eyes look less cakey

Way, Way Too Much Powder! Use a clean powder brush and begin to gently buff the skin in circular motion.  This will remove the excess powder.  A Mist of moisture spray will add glow to the skin, making skin look fresher and less matte.

Over Drawn Clown Brow:  Use a brow comb to brush through excess product.  Apply a bit of translucent powder over to top to help soften the colour.  You can also use a lighter coloured matte shadow to help lighten the colour.  Cotton swabs also work wonders to remove excess pigment and hard edging.

OMG! Eye Shadow Over Kill: Blend a bit of liquid or powder foundation over top of the colour.  If using liquid foundation, set with a translucent powder. You can also choose a lighter coloured shadow containing sheen to help brighten up or lighten up your original colour.

Blotchy Blush: Buff your cheeks with a mineral powder foundation, this will help fill the gaps and smooth out hard edging.
